BOM procurement & material coordination
Component Sourcing
BOM review, component procurement, and alternative-part coordination for your PCB assembly. Align purchasing with the approved design, build quantity, and production plan.

Service overview
Component Sourcing
01
BOM Review
Check manufacturer part numbers, reference designators, quantities, and package details before procurement.
02
Component Procurement
Coordinate material availability and order quantities alongside bare boards and assembly requirements.
03
Alternative Coordination
Review proposed alternatives with your team when the specified part is unavailable or needs a sourcing decision.
Project coordination
A BOM That Purchasing and Assembly Can Use
| Part identity | Manufacturer, full manufacturer part number, package, and value where relevant. |
|---|---|
| Placement information | Reference designators, quantities per board, and do-not-populate positions. |
| Supply responsibilities | Identify parts supplied by your team and parts to be procured by 6CNC. |
| Approved alternatives | List qualified substitutes or indicate where engineering approval is required. |
| Build planning | Order quantity, expected repeat demand, and target production date. |

Component Sourcing FAQ
Can I supply selected components?
Yes. Partial-turnkey assembly lets you supply selected parts while we coordinate the remaining procurement. Mark these responsibilities in your BOM.
Will you substitute parts without approval?
Proposed alternatives are coordinated with your team before they are used. Include your approved alternative list and any restrictions.
What BOM format should I send?
A spreadsheet with manufacturer part numbers, reference designators, quantities, and package information is a useful starting point. Identify do-not-populate and customer-supplied parts.
Can sourcing be part of a complete assembly order?
Yes. Component sourcing can be coordinated with PCB fabrication, assembly, programming, testing, and final product assembly.
